Meet Dr. David Junge (Edwardsville, IL)
David Junge, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry in 2022. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Pre-Medical Biology from McKendree University, graduating in 2018.
Born and raised in Troy, Illinois, Dr. Junge has always called the Metro East area home. His journey into optometry began in high school after experiencing an eye emergency that sparked his fascination with the complexity of the human eye. This passion grew as he took anatomy courses in college and worked as an optician, solidifying his love for eye care.
Dr. Junge finds great joy in helping patients see clearly, especially witnessing the reactions of children seeing the world sharply for the first time. In addition to treating a variety of ocular diseases, he is passionate about pediatric eye care and loves helping families achieve their visual needs.
In his free time, Dr. Junge enjoys hiking, solving escape rooms, playing board games, and spending time with his cat.
